What is MRI?

MRI is short for Magnetic Resonance Imaging. (If your doctor has sent you for an MRA [Magnetic Resonance Angiography], this is also a kind of MRI.) MRI is an advanced technology that lets your doctor see internal organs, blood vessels, muscles, joints, cartilage, tendons tumors, areas of infection etc. and make an accurate diagnosis.

What is a CT scan?
A computed tomography (CT) scan is a relatively simple, safe, and completely painless examination that radiologists have performed for many years. The scan produces a series of images and can detect many conditions that do not show up on conventional x-rays.
What is CT Angiography?
CT (computed tomography) angiography (CT-A) uses X-rays to visualise the inside of blood vessels as well as their walls. A radio-opaque fluid (contrast) injected into a vein mixes with blood and is tracked as it travels through various parts of the body.
What is a digital radiography?
Digital radiography is a form of x-ray imaging, where digital X-ray sensors are used instead of traditional photographic film. Advantages include time efficiency through bypassing chemical processing and the ability to digitally transfer and enhance images.
What is Ultrasonography?
Ultrsonography (USG) is a procedure by which images of the various organs in the body are obtained with the help of ultrasound waves. Essentially ultrasound waves are sound waves in the very high frequency range  (2.5 to 5.0 MHz). At this frequency these sound waves are inaudible to the human ear.
